Pages turn and the world swirls, captured and shifting.
It changes, taking you somewhere else.
You blink in the sunlight.
Grass sways in the breeze, white waves rippling across the hills.
Bells tinkle, sheep baa.
The smell of the wildflowers is thick in the air, sweet and supple.
What is this place?
Ruby Isle
Sheepherding Island in the Patmos Sea. Not affiliated with any island nation.
Ruby Isle grows sheep and produce for the traveling sea folk, trading for their the rest of their needs. The island has very few trees and is dependent on traders for wood. Their main export is wool. It does have a rocky section to it, which people rarely go to, and it was at one point in time an outpost for the Shipmasons.
An experiment station was built on the island in the time of the Shipmasons. They stored a prototype mini submarine they called the Folau in a cavern submarine pen, never getting the chance to test it as the flooding occurred shortly thereafter. They were going to bring it down from its secret location on a mountaintop, the exact reason for building there lost in time. The Folau was left fully powered and with deep submergence ability as a prototype, its hull reinforced to be extra thick and survive the pressure. Over time an entrance developed as the roof caved in and provided access that was not there, moss growing thick underneath it.
